Delete your account
Effective September 2026
You can delete your LifeLinkOS account and everything in it at any time. There are two ways to do it — one inside the app, and one that works even if you no longer have it installed.
If you still have the app
- Open LifeLinkOS and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Privacy & data.
- Under Delete account & all data, tap Delete everything and confirm.
This removes your account and its data from our servers, and clears everything LifeLinkOS has stored on that device. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
If you would rather keep a copy first, use Export under Backup & restore on the same screen before deleting.
Only the family organizer sees this button, because it deletes the whole household’s account rather than one person’s. If you are not the organizer, use the email route below and we will handle it.
If you are not the organizer, or have already removed the app
Email us from the address your account uses and we will delete it for you. Please include the words delete my account so we can find the request quickly.
Email lifelinkos.support@gmail.com
We will confirm by reply and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner. We may ask you to confirm from the account's email address before deleting, so that nobody else can delete your data.
What gets deleted
Everything associated with your account is removed permanently:
- Your profile, name and email address.
- Tasks, calendar events, notes and posts, and any photos you added.
- Money entries, budgets, and any transactions imported from a statement.
- Health and fitness entries, including walks and their routes.
- Contacts you imported, and any saved places.
- Your location history and last known location.
- Your backup on our servers.
What may remain, and for how long
- Content shared with a group you belonged to stays with that group. A task you assigned to someone else, or a post on a shared board, belongs to the household rather than only to you — deleting your account does not remove it from theirs. Anything you kept personal is deleted outright.
- Subscription and payment records are held by Apple or Google, not by us. Deleting your LifeLinkOS account does not cancel a subscription — do that in the App Store or Google Play. Records we are required to keep for tax and accounting are retained as the law requires.
- Anonymous usage statistics carry no identifier that can be traced back to you, so they cannot be selectively removed. They are deleted on a rolling schedule regardless.
- Backups may hold residual copies for a short period before they age out.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete everything to remove one thing. In the app you can delete individual tasks, events, notes, contacts, places and money entries, turn location sharing off (which erases your trail), disconnect Health Connect or Apple Health, and switch anonymous usage statistics off in Settings.
